The Richmond Field Days and Races are back for Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June 2020. If you’re looking for a weekend to lock into the calendar, the Richmond Field Days offer a jam-packed weekend to keep everyone entertained and occupied.
The weekend unofficially kicks off on Thursday 11th June where the RFD Committee will host a meet and greet for the Field Day sponsors and exhibitors. By 9am Friday morning, the coffee is hot and exhibitors are officially open for business. Typically attracting over 150 exhibitors, the crowds are kept busy meandering from one shop to the next. This year features a vast array of exhibitors ranging from agricultural supplies, bull studs, machinery and infrastructure, to fashion, lifestyle, food, health and homewares. It’s an excellent opportunity for businesses, big and small to showcase their products and services to people in NW Queensland. But it’s also an excellent event to socialise and network with friends new and old.
The All Breed Bull Sale will return on Friday in 2020 featuring studs from local businesses and beyond. And if livestock isn’t your interest, perhaps the highly-anticipated Lawn Mower Derby is more for your amusement? The competitions don’t end there, enter yourself into the Ringers Challenge, Tug-O-War, Fashions On the Field or spend Saturday getting a few wins on the horses.
The Stockplace Cocktail Party kicks off on Friday Evening and boasts an evening of live entertainment, networking and fun. However, be sure to secure your tickets once available and this event sells out fast!
Exhibitors are open on Saturday until midday, it’s your last opportunity to secure a bargain. After that, people gather for a fun day and night at the Races. It’s certainly one of the bigger Race Meets held in Richmond and around NW QLD – be sure not to miss out!
Live entertainment features across the whole weekend including the comedic duo, The Crack Up Sisters, a Virtual Reality Experience, the Magician, a visit to the Brain Bus or perhaps just settle in or get moving with some excellent music.
