The Miners Memorial Day Service is a time to formally pause and honour the memory of all those who have lost their lives working in Queensland mines.

On September 19 each year, we come together to commemorate the lives of miners lost in mining tragedies in Queensland. This date marks the anniversary of the State’s worst coal mining disaster at Mount Mulligan, where 75 miners lost their lives in 1921.
