Zonta Club of Mount Isa is excited to announce our amazing guest speaker for 2021, Major Matina Jewell, who we are confident will inspire us all.
Matina joined the Army at 17 years of age and served on five missions and earned eight war medals. During her 15-year military career she tracked-down warlords in the Solomon Islands, fast-roped from helicopters and boarder smuggler ships in the Arabian Gulf, and was posted as a peacekeeper within the UN.
She certainly has some interesting stories to tell.
Our night will also include the announcement of our 2021 Woman of Achievement and Young Woman of Achievement Awards.
