Festival of Outback Opera

Queensland’s inaugural Festival of Outback Opera will be co-presented by Opera Queensland and Camerata Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra in 2020. A three-day event featuring internationally renowned performers alongside Queensland’s leading opera singers accompanied by its premier orchestra. A series of concerts will be presented and community engagement programs undertaken in and around the stunning surrounds of the Mount Isa, McKinlay and Cloncurry Shires.
A large-scale flagship event will be a key highlight, performing much-loved operatic repertoire staged outdoors against the quintessentially outback Queensland backdrop of The Granites.
