Camooweal Drovers Festival

The festival begins with an invitation only luncheon for drovers and their partner or carer on Friday 27 August which is held in the Droving Heritage Centre. Then the activities begin in town with a street parade, auction of donated items, and a charity mail race, followed by music and other entertainment.

On Saturday 28 August and Sunday 29 August at The Drover’s Camp site 1 km east of Camooweal is where all the activities and entertainment happens with music by Tom Maxwell, Ged & Trudy Hints, Brian Howard, Dally Croft, Gottani Sisters, Graeme Doubleday and the Epenara Christian Band, poetry with Gary Fogarty, photography and whip cracking competitions, memorabilia displays, bronco branding, trade stalls,  concert Saturday night, meet and yarn with an old drover. Catering and bar available all week-end (cash only).
